Peter Ventura: Attorney at Law
Attorney Peter Ventura was born, grew up, and lives in Worcester, MA. He is a graduate of Holy Name High School, Assumption College, and The New England School of Law in Boston.
At Assumption College, Attorney Ventura graduated Magna Cum Laude and majored in Politics and had a minor in English. At The New England School of Law, he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Family Law, and his studies concentrated on litigation and trial practice.
Former Assistant District Attorney, Worcester County
He is a former Assistant District Attorney in Worcester County (1982 to 1985) where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor criminal cases on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts throughout the Worcester County area. He has tried hundreds of cases as a prosecutor.
Attorney Ventura has also engaged in teaching and lecturing at the college and university level. He has been an adjunct faculty member at numerous Worcester universities and colleges. He has taught Family Law at Assumption College, Business and Corporate Law at Worcester State University, and has taught a wide range of subjects at Becker College, including Torts, Contracts, Property, and Commercial law.
Attorney Ventura entered the private practice of law in 1985. Since then he has focused his practice on civil litigation representing injured persons. His civil practice in representing injured persons over the years has included motor vehicle accidents of all types, injuries suffered due to unsafe property conditions at residences and businesses, medical malpractice, defective consumer products, construction and industrial accidents, injuries at work, sports and recreation related accidents, general negligence, and claims against insurance companies for bad faith and unfair claims practices.
Attorney Ventura has handled many cases involving a wide variety of injuries, both physical and emotional, ranging from muscle and ligament injuries to more complex cases involving serious neurological and orthopedic injuries (such as brain and spinal injuries and serious fractures) requiring surgeries and leaving individuals with lifelong impairments and disabilities. He has also worked on complex fatal accidents and wrongful death cases.
As Attorney Ventura’s current practice concentrates on serious injury cases, he often retains and works with different kinds of experts necessary to the effective presentation of the client’s case in order to maximize the client’s financial recovery. Attorney Ventura has worked with experts throughout the United States involving specialists in diverse fields such as: accident reconstructionists, engineers, scientists, safety consultants, OSHA and Building Code experts, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, cardiologists, psychologists, physical rehabilitation specialists, vocational specialists, and economists.
Since 1985 Attorney Ventura has successfully represented injured persons with his effective negotiation and skilled courtroom abilities. Over the years, Attorney Ventura has recovered millions of dollars in awards and settlements for accident victims and their families in cases ranging from simple and routine accidents to unique and complex cases involving serious injuries and death.
Attorney Ventura is a member of Best Attorneys of America (Rue Ratings).
Attorney Ventura is a member of The National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Attorney Ventura is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prominent group of trial lawyers in the U.S.
His talents and skills as a trial lawyer have been recognized as well by his participation as a featured speaker for the “Best Trial Lawyer Video Series” which is published online by WIN Interactive, Inc., a Massachusetts based nation-wide litigation consulting firm in which Attorney Ventura has been interviewed on a variety of subjects including the art of storytelling and the use of experts witnesses at trial.
He is also a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, and the National Italian American Bar Association.
Attorney Ventura has provided expert legal commentary for local news organizations such as the Worcester Telegram and Gazette and Charter TV3.
Attorney Ventura has appeared on the national radio program The Business Leader Spotlight Show.
Attorney Ventura is also the Co-author of a book on Personal Injury Claims: “Injured In An Accident? Ten Of America’s Leading Personal Injury Attorneys Share Their Wisdom,” (Rutherford Publishing House, 2014).

Attorney Ventura is of Italian descent and grew up in an Italian-American community in Worcester. He enjoys Red Sox baseball, classic American films, and Italian language and music. He is a supporter of many local and national charities and philanthropic interests, including the promotion of literacy, medical research, quality health care and local law enforcement and fire department agencies.
