The Worst Intersections in Worcester County
Each year, roughly 2.35 million Americans are hurt or disabled in road accidents. Road crashes cost the country $230.6 billion per year or which translates to an average of $820 per person. Unfortunately, Worcester County is no exception to the nationwide crash epidemic. We analyzed the worst intersections city-by-city in order to create a resource that could help save lives.
In 2015, Worcester saw a total of 5,380 accidents resulting in 10,359 damaged vehicles, 1,693 injuries, and 7 deaths. Accidents were widespread across all of the city. However, there were a few roads that attracted more accidents than others.
In order to increase defensive driving practices, we took a look at the most dangerous intersections in Auburn, Massachusetts, using the 2014 Massachusetts DOT Crash Report.
